The most important of these directives is the RES directive mandating the increased use of energy preservation and production systems based on renewable sources.
What is a heat pump
A heat pump is a machine that produces thermal energy (to heat structures, produce domestic hot water, etc.) using renewable sources of energy. The operating principle is that of a refrigerating circuit, in which heat subtracted from a low temperature environment (for instance, the outdoors around a house) is transferred to another environment at a higher temperature (for instance, the house or the domestic hot water tank).
This process requires thermal energy (heat) which is already available in the environment (in air, in the water, etc.). This is why these machines are the only heat generators functioning with RENEWABLE and FREE ENERGY.
Thanks to this operating principle, the heat pump can also cool the environment. Indeed, simply by inverting the refrigerant cycle. These machines are powered by electricity (to allow the refrigerating cycle to run), but their power absorption is considerably lower than the heat they generate. Indeed, as mentioned before, the majority of thermal energy is “harvested for free” from an external source.
These machines can also be powered by electricity generated by a photovoltaic or wind power plant. In this case, the thermal energy required to heat the environment is completely FREE AND RENEWABLE. The economic savings coming from the use of heat pumps are always considerable (making it possible to use also reduced tariff power supply meters) and in the future, due to the reduced availability of fuels and the increase in their price, such savings will grow apace.
What is an evaporative condensing chiller?
A water chiller is a machine that produces cold water through a compression refrigeration cycle of saturated vapours. Any machine whose operation is based on a refrigeration cycle must be able to evacuate the heat it collects from a fluid through another fluid.
The inCH chiller uses air and water to transfer the heat absorbed from the water of the air-conditioning system outdoors (cooling effect).
This principle allows the machine to become extremely efficient by significantly reducing energy consumption compared to traditional chillers, which only exchange heat with the air outside.
