New UNI TS 11300 - 2: 2019 standard
BEE. Improve the energy class of the building. It reduces the share of thermal renewable to be satisfied.

The new UNI TS 11300-2: 2019 has been published which considers the reduction of primary energy in the presence of the heat recovery unit from the waste water from the showers.

On 7.02.19 the new UNI TS 11300 - 2: 2019 was published. Due to the effect of art. 7 paragraph 5 of the Ministerial Decree of 26.06.15, will come into force 90 days after its publication.

Appendix E of this standard describes how to treat in the calculation of the energy performance of the domestic hot water service and includes in the calculation the heat recovery units from domestic hot water wastewater.

BEE RECOVERFROM 30% TO 40% OF ENERGYFOR DOMESTIC HOT WATER

Discover BEE's performance

BEE, the INNOVA heat recovery unit, makes it possible to recover more than a third of the heat contained in the waste water, making it available directly to the dispenser, the boiler or the water heater, thus reducing the energy needed to produce domestic water .

BEE IMPROVES THE ENERGY CLASS OF THE BUILDING

The useful thermal energy necessary to produce domestic hot water is identified within UNI TS 11300 - 2, with the term QW, sys, out, and depends mainly on the l / g of demand and on the delta T between the water supply temperature and domestic hot water supply temperature. The presence of the heat recovery unit allows to decrease this delta T, thus supplying water at a higher temperature than that of the aqueduct.

At the calculation level, a new useful energy requirement of the service is then determined, net of the recuperator, called QW, sys, out rec. The calculation of the primary energy requirement will therefore proceed starting from this requirement (lower than the original QW, sys, out) thus determining a lower energy requirement and therefore a saving.

BEE REDUCES THE AMOUNT OF RENEWABLE THERMAL ENERGY TO SATISFY

Furthermore, the presence of the BEE recovery unit lowers the energy requirement and therefore, with the same l / g of domestic hot water, less renewable energy source will be needed to reach the 50% renewable thermal energy share of the Legislative Decree. n. 28/2011.

BEE'S CERTIFIED PERFORMANCE

The RSE Institute, Research on the Energy System, is a company for the development of research activities in the electro-energy sector, with particular reference to national strategic projects. In 2016 he published a report in which he disseminated the results of the experimentation of a real plant with the presence of the BEE recovery unit at the RSE laboratory in Terni.
